A primary school is encouraging boys and girls to wear a skirt to school to promote gender equality.

Schoolchildren at Castleview Primary in Edinburgh will take part in the initiative today, coined “Wear a Skirt to School Day.”

But commentator Belinda de Lucy says: "This is an anti free-speech movement which seeks to coerce children into a toxic gender ideology."
